Cinia receives the ISO27001 information security management system certificate

Cinia Ltd’s Service Desk was granted the internationally recognised ISO/IEC 27001:2013 information security management system certificate concerning Cinia’s Service Desk and the company-level control of the information security management system, such as company-level security policies, guidelines and practices. Cinia’s 24/7 Service Desk participates in the maintenance and monitoring of Cinia’s continuous services. Service Desk also acts as a point of contact towards Cinia’s customers.

"At Cinia, security is an integral part of the company’s services and activities. Keeping up with the development of security threats is vital in this sector. Receiving this certificate is a wonderful indication, both to us and to our customers, that our level of information security meets the highest standards and is among the best in the world. What is more, this certificate means that our customers can rely on the security of our services", says Ari-Jussi Knaapila, CEO of Cinia.

During the audit, the functionality of Cinia’s security controls and their correspondence with the requirements of the ISO/IEC 27001 standard were verified. Cinia’s Service Desk received various positive recognitions, ranging from induction practices and cooperation to functional communication with the field organisation.

"ISO27001-certificate minimizes and often even eliminates the need for separate security audits conducted by our customers and partners. Maintaining the certificate requires continuous improvement, which guarantees our customers that our information security management tools and procedures are always up-to-date. I believe that our customers find this important," highlights Pertti Hyvärinen, Cinia’s SVP, Cyber and Security Affairs.

ISO/IEC 27001 is an international information security management system standard for risk assessments and the preventive measures required. It sets requirements for identifying risks associated with information held by organisations and for their effective management. The certification was carried out by DNV-GL Ltd.
